Sum Hui Ting
Founder, Clinical Director & Speech Therapist
“I am a fully registered Speech Therapist under the Allied Health Professional Council (Singapore).
I started my journey with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Psychology from the National University of Singapore, and subsequently furthered my studies with a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Speech Pathology from La Trobe University (Melbourne, Australia).
I find great passion and joy in knowing that my work not only adds to a child’s quality of life, but also to their parents. This brings about a sense of purpose and value in my work. I hope that my home services would add value not only for your child, but the entire community, one child at a time, right at home."
Yvonne Kuan
Senior Speech Therapist
“I am a fully registered Speech Therapist with the Allied Health Professions Council of Singapore (AHPC). I specialize in supporting children with challenges in speech and language development, social communication, feeding and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). In my experience working across different special schools and early intervention centres; I have had the privilege of working with children with a wide range of diagnoses and needs.
I employ a holistic approach when tailoring support for each family I work with. My aim is to always maximize potential and I feel it is best achieved when we adjust the way we teach according to how the child learns best. Each child is different, every family is special, and our journey should be accompanied with relentless support. I hope to have the privilege of joining in and supporting your journey today. ”

Senior Speech Therapist
“I am a fully registered Speech Therapist under the Allied Health Professional Council (Singapore).
I enjoy working with children and their families, and decided to embark on a mid-career switch, beginning with a Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood and Family Education, then an Advance Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs), followed by a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from Flinders University (Adelaide, Australia).
I value empowerment, to the children by providing them with strategies to function more effectively in their environment, AND to their caregivers, who I consider the best therapists, as they can provide continuous and consistent support for their children.
I hope to be able to partner with caregivers, and journey with them to help their children learn and flourish under our love and care. ”

Speech Therapist
I am a fully registered Speech Therapist under the Allied Health Professions Council of Singapore, and originally from South Africa. My Speech Therapy journey started in South Africa, where I worked at a school for children with special needs. Since moving to Singapore with my husband in 2001, I have been involved in various linguistic projects and coaching adults on learning a foreign language. In 2018 I joined the team at Summer’s Therapy Services as a Speech-Language Therapist.
I value team collaboration for children to be supported in all areas of their development. It gives me great joy to see children develop, and become a whole and happy person in this world.
Char Sin En
Associate Speech Therapist
“I am a Speech-Language Therapist from Malaysia, and I was formally trained with a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Speech Science at the National University of Malaysia (UKM). I have experience providing virtual and face-to-face speech therapy services to children who use Malay, English, or Mandarin languages as their native language.
I believe that close collaboration with families will give the best outcome for children’s performance as families know the children better than anyone else in the world. Every child is born with different abilities that are gifted. We should not ignore those abilities, instead, we should look closely and make use of them to build up their communication and language skills. Thus, parents play important roles in working with speech therapists to find out their abilities in the session.”
Jacelyn Lee
Early Childhood Interventionist
"I am an Early Childhood Interventionist specialising in employing ABA-VB and TEACCH® approaches to guide differently-abled children in expressing themselves within a safe and fun environment. My work began in a Special Education School in 2018 as an Educator before transitioning to 1-to-1 behavioural therapy as a Senior Behavioural Therapist. At Summer's, I conduct both individual and group sessions, tailoring my interventions to each child who comes.
I accord respect to every child and I strongly value leaning into their interests to build a therapeutic relationship with them. It is my belief that trust and connection with the child, and an ability to adopt a responsive attitude lays the groundwork for observable progress. I am excited to support your child on their journey together with you."
Bau Hon Tjuin
IT Engineer
“My career path as an IT Engineer began in an unorthodox manner, as I was formally trained with a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (Singapore Polytechnic) and Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering (Nanyang Technological University Singapore).
During my full-time employment as a manufacturing engineer, I took up coding as a hobby. This hobby proved to be more useful than I could imagine, because with the skills I acquired in this hobby, I can now work remotely for Summer’s as an IT Engineer while caring for my grandfather in my hometown in Malaysia.
Other than loving coding and almost all IT stuff, I also enjoy catching crabs with friends, running and hand-to-hand combat.”
